GAIAFLOW SHIZUOKA DISTILERY

PROLOGUE SELECTION

Discover the differences from each distiller.

• Prologue K - Distiller K: This is the first whiskey released by Shizuoka Distillery. Distillation machine relocated from the Karuizawa distillery is used. Rich, sweet, spicy and smoky foreign barley is used to create a light, elegant finish that retains the natural flavor of the core barley.

• Prologue W - Distiller W: This is a wood-fired direct style distiller which heats directly by burning the wood. Indirect heating by steam produces temperatures of only 150 degrees Celsius at best, while direct wood-fired distillation reaches temperatures as high as 800 degrees Celsius. Enjoy the richness and strength whisky of this high temperature produces.

• Contact S: Shizuoka Distillery uses two first distillation units, K and W, to produce two types of original whisky with different characteristics. Contact S is the first single malt to blend both of these original whiskies. Enjoy a special blended single malt of Shizuoka Distillery’s special wooden fermentation tanks and distillation machines.

THE POT SELECTION

Explore the difference of foreign barley produced in each distiller.

• Pot Still K 100% Imported Barley: Try this specialized whiskey that is only using the distiller K, and the barley malt which used to made by 100% imported barley.

• Pot Still W 100% Imported Barley: Launched in May 2023, it won the World Whisky Award (WWA) 2024, a global whisky competition.

THE BARLEY SELECTION

Taste the difference of created pure Japanese barley and pure foreign barley whiskey in the same distiller.

• Pot Still K 100% Japanese Barley: You will be surprised with this special whiskey which is made from 100% Japanese barley and consists only the original spirit distilled by the indirect distiller K. Not only it is a single malt whisky, but it is characterized by its strength and richness, consisting only the original spirit of its single first distiller.

• Pot Still K 100% Imported Barley: Try this specialized whiskey that is only using the distiller K, and the barley malt which used to made by 100% imported barley.
